A Schweet Schtory
"I'm gonna Wreck it!" said Ralph, as he smash through the debris. "Thanks for taking care of the blockade, Ralph. *cough* *cough* a little dusty don't you think?" Coughed the Surge Protector. "You know that's going to happen every time I do this, wear a mask next time" said Ralph as he wiped dust off his hands. Surge added "I'll keep that in mind", then dissipated.
The Game Central Station was, and still is, notorious for having dust problems throughout it's years as a result of neglectful cleaning by Litwak. So much dust that it most often collects under the monorails. Having smashed through a rather large clump, Ralph started back to his game when he caught a glimpse at the Sugar Rush terminal.
It had been a long time since he'd seen Vanellope. Would she remember him? Maybe a little visit wouldn't hurt. Besides, the Arcade's closed.
*VROOOOOOOOM* Ralph watched intently through the candy stands as a kart flew past him. He forgot how fast and furious this game was, he thought to himself. Nothing like the Rally-X races he used to spend time watching. He caught a glimpse at Vanellope in her kart as she raced passed him. She's still got it.
On the screen the whole race could be seen. It looked like that one with the frilly dress was in the lead.. what was her name again? Taffyta muffin puffin.. something was it? Then it was Vanellope in second. Followed by this weird guy with a pumpkin for a head. He forgot how crazy and weird these kids dressed.
He thought he saw a girl with a candle on her head. Yeesh, was that safe?
A huge concoction of candy and syrup filled the screen. Ralph watched the menagerie of weapons and hazards that the racers shot at each other. Then it was over. Vanellope won first place. Was there ever any doubt?
Ralph hollered "Hey hey! Congratulations, squirt! I saw the whole thing!", this must've surprised Vanellope because she did a double-take. "RAAALPH!!" Vanellope screamed as she bounced on Ralph and gave him a big heart-warming hug. "I haven't seen you in ages! How have you been ya big lug?!"
"Oh you know.. pretty good. Been around the block a few times. There's that whole Fix-it Felix Jr. business.. oh yeah and I got a new job smashing.. dirt.. and stuff. Then I figured I'd come visit. I must say.. you've gotten really good at this racing thing."
"Aw shucks, man. I AM the best after all. Oh hey! Come to my castle! I got tons to show you!"
Then she grabbed his arm and led him to her castle. It was pretty huge. Larger than he remembered actually.
And so they went through floors of countless candy shaped paraphernalia. Then Vanellope said "Hold up I want to show you something!" Then she ran out of the room. "C'mon! Hurry up ya Slowbro!". Ralph stuck his head in the door he thought she ran inside of. There, in the center of the room beamed a huge chocolate sculpture of him. The huge statue was in his generic 'I'm gonna wreck it!' pose.
"Haha! Oh wow, that's me! I-it's me!"
"You like it? I made it myself!" she said.
"Of course I do. You totally caught my complexion. And those eyes! Man, are those jawbreakers or something? Genius."
"Well you did say you loved chocolate.. that one time."
She smiled; the first time in a very long time and she did miss him. It was nice to see him again.
*clank* "Aw geez, the eye keeps falling off!" It was the sculptures eye that fell off. She quickly snatched it and climbed up the effigy. She said "You have no idea how many times this thing falls off. I tried gluing it with candy corn but it keeps falling off." Ralph now had a good look at it and was surprisingly familiar. It was bluish-green and had a particular pattern to it.
"Well it was nice meeting you again kid, but i really must get to my game. *yaawn* lots of wrecking to do tomorrow ya know?" She then added "Aww but you just got here!" She had her puppy eyes at full throttle.
He couldn't resist. "Ah... what the heck. Sure, I'll stay with ya. Hey you wanna go to somewhere?"
"Ooo Ooh! I always wanted to try DDR with someone!"
"Er, sure.. lets go try it out."
"Yaaay!"
"Say it's not that dancing game is it? I'm bad at those."
As they left, the room fell into silence. The jawbreaker in the statue's eye socket seemed to shift hauntingly, almost as if it were alive.
