Not The End

Hi!

How long has it been? 4 months yeah? Yeah well I feel like I've been negecting you guys for far too long so here's another update!

I've been incredibly busy with my studies! Remember, I'm only human so there's quite a bit I've been able to squeeze out during my free time and yes, for those who have noticed, even taking some time off my hands to visit a certain imageboard to meet with my fans and contributing my share of drawings as well.

But yeah besides that, I wanted to take the rest of the update to fill you guys in on something important.

When I started to build the site I wanted to make it a place all of my friends could read my work. Most if not all of my old friends are pretty hard to reach and this made it easy for them and for me. Believe me when I say that this is exactly still the case today.

One of those comics was Action, a neat little adventure starring Bonzai, the goofball with a lot of heart, and Lan, the straight man with the fire sword. I've started drawing this story (with a little help from a certain relative of course) while I was only about... I'm gonna say 15? 16? It's been so long. Anyway, most of the pages, especially the very first ones were lost due to unforseen forces. (Multiple times I might add) So this forced me to continue without a stable story or coherent narrative to push the story along besides some plot device or the occasional joke. This made it a bit hard to follow and well, it just didn't work out anymore. Especially if you try to "save" it by trying to patch a sappy origin story and a totally unrelated ending about a dimensional being into it. Eventually I lost interest and decided that I was only going to make a few pages here and there until I eventually stopped altogether. The other was a more recent story called Cherno High School, a slice of life comic centered around mutated teenagers and their various shenanigans. This one seemed more popular of the two and so naturally, I've centered the website around it.

Why am I bringing this up? Well I think it's about time i've started taking these worlds i've built and started to make them even more than what they are. I guess what i'm ultimately trying to say is, the next time you see Action or Cherno, they won't be a comic. In fact, they wont even be called by those titles anymore. This is probably one of the hardest things an author has to do because he or she wants to try new things and bring along his or her creations with him/her but at the same time DOESN'T want to see this new thing they're striving for crash and burn from failure. And yeah, to an extent, these are my children. My creations. It'd be kind of hard to live in a world without my drawings. This doesn't necessarily mean I'll be done with comics. Oh no, not one bit. I mean You'll still see the website updated with other neat things from time to time but the main focus for me, will always be my comics. And in this exact moment, Action and Cherno are my main focus.

So what's next? Well you'll be seeing the rest of Cherno. I mean even though I'm not gonna be doing any new stories that still doesn't mean that I'll leave it as is with a half finished set. That'd be just plain wrong. So you'll see the final bits of it and then I'll be done with it for now.

Like I said, the next time you'll be seeing them won't be on pages.
